Unlock PDF (Remove Password)
Unlock PDF removes the password from a PDF you have the password for, so you don't have to type it every time you open the file. It only works when you provide the correct password (it is not a cracking tool). Select several PDFs that share a password to unlock the whole set in one pass and download them together as a .zip. Everything runs in your browser using qpdf via WebAssembly — your PDF and password are never uploaded.

To unlock a PDF you can already open, choose the file, enter its password, and download a copy with the password removed. It works only with the correct password — this is self-service unlocking, not cracking — and runs entirely in your browser via qpdf.

Frequently asked questions
Can this crack a PDF I don't have the password for?
No. It requires the correct password — it removes protection for documents you're allowed to open, it doesn't break encryption.
Can I unlock several PDFs at once?
Yes, as long as they share the same password. Select multiple PDFs and the password is tried on each one; any file that uses a different password simply fails on its own row without stopping the rest of the queue.
What if I get a wrong-password error?
Double-check the password. If the PDF isn't actually encrypted, there's nothing to remove.
Is my PDF uploaded?
