How does the text go behind the subject?
The image is split into two layers by an AI background-removal model: the full photo and the cut-out subject. Your text is drawn on top of the photo, and the subject is drawn back on top of the text — so the text appears behind them.
Which photos work best?
Photos with a clearly defined subject — a person, animal or product — against a distinct background. Busy scenes with many overlapping subjects segment less cleanly.
Is my photo uploaded?
No — the segmentation model downloads to your browser once (a few MB) and runs on your device. The photo itself never leaves your computer.
