A typing speed test measures how many words per minute (WPM) you type. You copy a short passage for 60 seconds; WPM is your correctly typed characters divided by five, per minute elapsed, alongside accuracy and error counts. The timer starts on your first keystroke and everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded.
How to use Typing Speed Test

- Watch live WPM, accuracy, errors and time-left stats as you type.

Frequently asked questions
How is WPM calculated?
Correctly typed characters divided by 5 (the standard word length), divided by the minutes elapsed. Only correct characters count toward your speed.
What is a good typing speed?
Around 40 WPM is average, 60–80 WPM is good for professional work, and 100+ WPM is fast. Accuracy above 95% matters as much as raw speed.
Is anything I type uploaded?
No — the test, timing and scoring all run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type ever leaves the page.
