How do I make a rent receipt for HRA?

When is a revenue stamp required?
In India, a ₹1 revenue stamp is customary on receipts for cash payments above ₹5,000. Receipts for rent paid by bank transfer or UPI generally don't need one — the receipts include a marked space either way.
Is the landlord's PAN mandatory?
For HRA claims, employers require the landlord's PAN when annual rent exceeds ₹1,00,000. Below that, name and signature suffice.
